Press Release:
TORONTO, Dec 10/ TST Arts and Promotion/- International musical act Jay Spectre will be making their first trip to New Zealand in December to embark on a month long tour. Jay Spectre are a four piece ensemble whose sound is a mixture of funk, rock and folk, and after playing in the Toronto scene for many years and completing three successful Canadian East Coast tours, the boys are heading to New Zealand in an effort to bring their music to as many audiences as possible. Jay Spectre are known for their high energy live shows and are looking forward to the opportunity to bring their unique sound onto the international stage.
When asked why the band chose New Zealand as their next port of call, front man James Oliver explains "It was an easy decision for us. To play music in the world's most beautiful country seems like the perfect way to bridge our time spent before returning to the studio to record our next album."
This band from Toronto, Canada has created a unique sound to compliment their undeniable energy. While never settling their music into one genre, they experiment and find inspiration from as many as possible, crossing from swing, hip hop, soul and funk. It is truly one act that their label (The Song Tree) says "Is so hard to pinpoint - Jay Spectre doesn’t fit into a category. You really just have to listen to their music and see them live."
The band will be stopping in over 20 towns and cities and playing venues including; the Mussel Inn, Revolver, Red Rock and more . For more information on the band and to hear their music visit www.jayspectre.com
